According to the latest rumours, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 would mark the launch of the green company’s next-generation GPU series. In this way, from the start, the company will put all the meat on the grill by launching its high-end GPU, which should present a huge improvement in performance compared to any other GPU currently available in the market.

The strangest thing of all is that the recently released Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 Ti would stay”obsolete“at very short notice, as these GPUs are expected to be announced as soon as in the middle of next Julywaiting for the release of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 in Augustwhile the GeForce RTX 4080 and RTX 4070 could launch as early as September.

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 is rumored to be based on the AD102 graphics chip with the new Ada Loveace architecture along with TSMC’s 5nm manufacturing process offering a configuration of up to 18432 CUDA cores. For reference, the current high-end gaming GPU, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 Ti, offers 10752 CUDA cores, so a GeForce RTX 4090 almost doubles the number of cores. This graphics chip would be accompanied by 24 GB of memory GDDR6X and all of that would result in a TDP of 600W.

The GeForce RTX 4080 would use the AD103 graphics chip with 10752 CUDA cores (compared to 8704 CUDA cores of its predecessor), the GeForce RTX 4070 would offer 7680 CUDA cores (vs 5888), the GeForce RTX 4060 would offer 4608 CUDA cores (vs 3584) and the GeForce RTX 4050 would offer 3072 CUDA cores (compared to 2560).
