New information is coming Nvidia GeForce GTX 1630like the leaked slide confirming that the graphics card has suffered a slight delay and will then hit the market June 15as they were due to hit the market tomorrow, May 31.
Moreover, the specifications are also confirmed, so this card is based on the graphics chip Nvidia TU117-150 based on Turing architecture, hiding inside a total of 512 CUDA cores which would reach a frequency of 1.80GHz next to 4 GB of memory GDDR6 at 12 Gbps which, with a 64-bit memory interface, achieves a bandwidth of 96 GB/s. This all adds up to a TDP of 75W.
Now comes the bad news, and it involves 384 cores less than the GeForce GTX 1650and even 256 cores less than the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (Pascal), so it’s clear that the GeForce GTX 1650 is vastly superior (not to mention the 192 GB/s bandwidth, which is double), and even the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti is more powerful.
To be exact, in 3DMark Fire Strike (1080p), in Fire Strike Extreme (4K) and Time Spy (1440p), the GeForce GTX 1650 is at 82%/97%/72% more powerfulwhile the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti is at 17%/48%/8% is more powerful, a graphics card launched almost 6 years ago, so it really doesn’t make sense to launch this new GPU, except it would be easier for Nvidia to get into 12nm chip production than 14 nm, of course. Let’s not think wrong and assume that it is due to the said reason or another similar one.
