If, a few minutes ago, we were aware of the launch of the Intel Arc A380 in China, now is the time to meet the GUNNIR Arc A380 Photon, which is pleased to be the first custom-designed Intel Arc Alchemist GPU to hit the market. The differences are notable, starting with improve the cooling system with a generous aluminum heatsink that takes up the entire PCB and now comes with a configuration of dual fan instead of a single fan design in the middle, plus an aluminum backplate to reinforce the PCB.
These cooling improvements are tied to generous overclocking over the reference model, which while we only know it hits a base frequency of 2000MHz, this custom model is capable of hitting a Turbo frequency of 2450MHzwhich also lowers its energy consumption from 75 to 92Wtherefore an 8-pin PCI-Express connector has also been added for its power supply.
Interestingly, at the memory level, it receives a “downgrade”, and that is that its 6 GB GDDR6 reaches a speed of 15.5 Gbps compared to the 16 Gbps of the reference model.
Despite the improvements proposed by the GUNNIR Arc A380 Photon compared to the original model, it continues to offer a design that occupies two PCI expansion slotsoffers four video outputs in the form of 3x DisplayPort + 1x HDMI 2.0, in addition to the “gaming” aesthetic, the company logo with RGB lighting is added, and most interesting of all, its price, has not not disclosed, although it does not matter, since this model will be exclusive to the Asian market, having to wait for other more “traditional” assemblers who will launch their custom models on our market at some point in the summer.
