the canadian store Direct line listed the price of all processors AMD Ryzen 7000which integrates from its high-end CPU, the Ryzen 9 7950Xto the most basic model, the Ryzen5 7600X.
We start with the high-end processor, the AMD Ryzen 9 7950Xwhich will offer a configuration of 16 cores and 32 threads processing at a base/turbo frequency of 4.50/5.70GHz with a TDP of 170Wwhich was listed by 1,140 Canadian dollarswhich translates to $892 Americans or 883 €.
The AMD Ryzen 9 7900X with 12 hearts and 24 threads at Base/Turbo frequencies of 4.70/5.60 GHz and the same TDP as its older sibling was listed for $798/ 778 €.
In the mid-range, the AMD Ryzen 7 7700X offers 8 cores and 16 threads at 4.50/5.40 GHz with a TDP of 105 W priced at $480/ 468 €while the most basic model, the AMD Ryzen5 7600X with 6 hearts and 12 threads at 4.70/5.30 GHz were listed for $330/ 322 €.
The price of the AMD Ryzen 7000 will be the least of the problems: DDR5 memory
Obviously These are not official prices and it is not known if they will be the lastbut it must be recognized that for the moment they are high, since the Ryzen 5 7600X is fighting in price with the Core i5-12600K, a processor which is less powerful in monomore powerful in multi-core, and of course the big thorn that AMD will have to deal with is that the Intel CPU can be combined with DDR4 memory a lot less expensive.
In this way we are talking about the fact that the most basic configuration of AMD will lose great importance with regard to the return obtained per euro investedand more after G.Skill announced that Memories DDR5@6000MHz be the recommended option to take advantage of the potential of these new processors.
