Capcom announced the new minimum requirements for updating the Resident Evil 2, which will receive a patch to make it a “next-gen” game, and this will result in improved visual quality. Of course, for now they have only indicated the minimum requirements, which increase at the level of the operating system and the graphics card, so in terms of CPU everything would be maintained. Nothing is said about the recommended requirements, recalling that the original version provided for an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 in its 3 GB variant.

It should be remembered that, with Resident Evil 2, also the Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil 7 will receive such a patch.

Powered by Capcom’s proprietary RE Engine, all three titles will deliver industry-leading features such as RayTracing, high frame rates, and 3D audio to enhance the immersion of award-winning experiences. For PlayStation 5 gamers, all three titles also feature interesting DualSense support for haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.
