Asus has announced its new high-end gaming laptop, the Asus ROG Strix Scar 17 Special Edition (2022), which is pure muscle, starting with being able to choose between an IPS panel of 17 inch with a resolution 1080p@360Hz Is 1440p@240Hz with a response time of 3 milliseconds (3ms GtG) powered by a Intel Core i9-12950HX 16 cores and 24 processing threads at 5.20 GHz with graphics Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080Ti (or an RTX 3070 Ti) and up to 64 GB of RAM DDR5@4800MHz.
The specs around the hardware are rounded out with access to an NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD from up to 4 TB capacity (RAID 2+2 TB at 14,000 MB/s), access to 2 USB-C 3.2 Gen2 ports at 100 W + 2 USB 3.2 Gen1 ports + Thunderbolt 4, 2.5 Gbit/s Ethernet, HDMI 2.1, audio jacks , 90 Wh battery with fast charge (from 0 to 50% in 30 minutes) and a chassis of 28.3mm thick in its thickest part (23.4 mm in its thinnest part) with 3 kilograms of weight.
To avoid temperature issues, the Asus ROG Strix Scar 17 hides a steam room designed exclusively for the team, which covers 48.8% of the motherboard.
