The long-awaited VRR update for the Sony PlayStation 5 should finally be released this week. It will then dynamically sync the refresh rate to the PS5 console’s graphical output display on HDMI 2.1 VRR-compatible TVs and PC monitors.
After the update, VRR will automatically be activated on the PlayStation 5. You can also deactivate VRR under “Screen and Video” in the system settings. Very important, of course, VRR only works with games that support the feature.
