MediaTek announces its Dimensity 9000+ to battle with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1

Currently, the MediaTek Dimension 9000 it’s the best SoC for ARM mobile devices, and today the company announced a boosted version, the Size 9000+who arrives to try to maintain his leadership in the face of the new Snapdragon 8+ Gen1a version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 @ 4nm from TSMC that allows you to increase the frequencies to increase its performance with lower power consumption.

In the case of the Dimensity 9000+ the idea is the same, increasing the frequencies, and that is why the high performance core Cortex-X2 now able to reach 3.20GHz (against 3.05 GHz). This core is still accompanied by 3 Cortex-A710 cores at 2.85 GHz as well as 4 Cortex-A510 cores at 1.80 GHz to provide computing efficiency. Although the rest of the cores keep the same speed and the GPU Mali-G710 MC10 is reused, at least with increased frequencies to add another performance boost.

In essence, the company states that this vitaminized version improves CPU performance. 5 percentwhile GPU performance increases 10 percent. Along the way, they’ve also improved the 5G modem and image processor, finding us with a MediaTek Imagiq 790 capable of capturing 18-bit HDR video from three cameras simultaneously. It allows images up to 320 megapixels and is capable of processing 9 gigapixels per second. Finally, it lets you capture 4K video with HDR as well as noise reduction AI.

For the rest, its roof continues to be supporting panels with WDHD+ @ 144 Hz and Full HD @ 180 Hz resolutions. The first smartphones with the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ SoC should arrive as soon as from next July.

“Building on the success of our first high-end 5G chipset, the DImenisty 9000+ ensures device manufacturers always have access to the latest high-performance features and mobile technologies, enabling their high-end smartphones to stand out,” said Dr. Yenchi Lee, Deputy General Manager, Wireless Communications Business Unit, MediaTek
