After being listed in China, AMD now offers official prices of your processors Ryzen Threadripper PRO 5000WXCPU family consisting of only three models: the Threadripper PRO 5995WXThreadripper PRO 5975WX and the Threadripper PRO 5965WX.
For starters, the top-of-the-range model, the AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 5995WXwill arrive in September, like the rest of the processors, at a recommended price of $6,499, which is slightly lower than the $7,030 seen on sale in the Asian market ahead of time.
This processor offers a configuration of 64 AMD Zen3 cores as well as 128 processing threads at a base/turbo frequency of 2.70/4.50 GHz.
Just below we have the AMD Ryzen PRO 5975WX wire puller, which already offers half the number of cores (32/64 @ 3.50/4.50 GHz) and with it a price reduced by half: $3,299 compared to $3,590 seen in China.
Finally, the AMD Ryzen PRO 5965WX Thread Cutterwhich with 24 cores and 48 threads at 3.80/4.50 GHz achieves a recommended price of $2,399 against $2,570 initially seen. They all share the same TDP of 280W and will remain on PCI-Express 4.0 interface with Octa-Channel DDR4 @ 3200 MHz memory configuration.
It should be remembered that it is not known if Threadripper PRO processors would be launched in the future 5955WX16 cores and 32 threads, and Threadripper PRO 5945WXwith 12 cores and 24 threads, and its market gap would be cannibalized for AMD Ryzen 7000that although they cannot offer the same faculties at a professional level, at least in power, they will be far superior, by equaling the offer of a configuration up to 16 cores, but of course, under the architecture AMD Zen4 at 5nm and not with Zen3 @ 7nm as it happens with these CPUs for the professional domain.
