Beside Asus ROG Strix Scar 17the company announced the Asus ROG Flow X16another laptop but in a convertible format built around a panel Mini-LEDs touchscreen 16 inch protected by laminate Gorilla Glass 3 and with a maximum brightness of up to 1100 nits to enjoy HDR content.
This panel has a Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels at 165Hz with a response time of 3 milliseconds (there is a budget option with a 500 nit IPS panel), it has 512 dimming zonescovers 100% of the DCI-P3 color space, and comes to life with a high-end configuration in the form of a AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS (8 cores + 16 threads @ 4.90 GHz) with a Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070Tiall accompanied by up to 64GB DDR5 RAM @ 4800 MHz and up to 2 TB NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD storage.
All this is cooled by 5 copper heat pipes accompanied by a configuration triple fan seasoned with thermal compound liquid metal to pack everything in a frame 19.4mm thick and 2 kilograms of weight.
The information of the Asus ROG Flow X16 complete with 1x USB-C @ 100W / DisplayPort 1.4 port, 2x USB 3.2 Gen2, HDMI 2.0b, XG connector, headphone jacks, WiFi 6E + Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, RGB lighting, 4-speaker system with Dolby Atmos technology and a 90 Wh battery with fast charge (from 0 to 50% in 30 minutes). As expected, its price has not been announced.
For reference, its predecessor, with a Ryzen 5900HS CPU, DDR4 and an RTX 3050 Ti, is around 1,400 euros, so that it can be around 2,500 euros no problem.
